How to put only so much money in one company? (Examples from USA and Germany inside) Why

Sometimes I wonder just how much money the state seeks companies that are actually bankrupt trying to save even more.

best example of AIG from the United States ....

Next example: Hypo Real Estate (HRE)

We know this company already countless messages. The state has the HRE at the moment with incredible 82 billion euros based, so it does not come as a bank collapse.

at the Hypo Real Estate could see well, is how much the greed of the banks for more money out of control.

If there is to really come to a reform of the free market economy, it must contain my opinion, the following points:

  • supervisors view more rights for Cartel and BaFin
  • cap on executive pay for existing State loans
  • so special supervision of hedge funds and other banking products
  • protect bank customers against fraud by banks

However, most banks now even the case that they presume normal bank employee under pressure to make them more from the great XY product to sell.

otherwise threatened with termination without notice ... ...

One might almost say, by my party affiliation, that I was a supporter of the Anglo-Saxon capitalism. No, I'm not. I am personally for a Social Market economy, as they have

Germany and many European countries.

Socialism, and the planned economy, where the state controls the economy can not function, because the state is not necessarily a good entrepreneur.

best examples that socialism does not work:

  • 1989/1990 DDR (Berlin Wall and economic collapse of the economy)
  • 1991 USSR

Even China has moved away from state-planned economy and offers a "capitalist socialism".

course it is important that States can help in times of crisis, the banks and companies must, however, the State must in good times the reins. Because politics and economics can not be mixed.
